Welcome to my blog about my Copeland Lineage.. I have been working on my family's lineage for a long time now. I have spent many long nights at the computer trying to trace the Copeland's back as far as possible.. they were elusive and I failed past my Grandpa's parents... Until I got in touch with an elderly cousin by the name of Helen Mullenax. When her husband Harold was living they spent their summer vacations traveling back to Louisiana and Georgia doing nothing but genealogy research... I took my scanner over to Helen's and she so graciously let me go through all her books and I scanned in over 100 pages of information on the Copeland's and Tubb's. One of the reason's I had so much trouble finding information is the various spellings of the surname of Copeland/Coplen/Copelen. Without Helen I would know very little of my Copeland's... thank you Helen, because of you.. our family history will be known.. I swear.. I was born 100 year's, if not more.. too late.. I love living in the past, so to speak, studying my relatives lives, where they lived and what transpired during their live time. It has been a journey and I feel like I know each and every one of them even though they lived lifetime's ago.... I think I shall now let them all rest in peace...
